Senior Spotlight: A Passion for Viola Leads to a Musical Future
Mia Greco has spent over six years dedicated to playing the viola, which has become a core part of her identity. She has grown as a musician through school orchestra and plans to continue her musical journey at the University of Kentucky, where she will minor in music and join the university orchestra. She values the instrument’s depth, especially the alto clef, and appreciates learning from a variety of musicians. Music remains a steady passion as she moves into her next chapter.

Being able to model failure and the discipline to keep going for my kids so that they can see how practice and perseverance pays off.Favorite musician: Andrew Wrangell who plays the song Rush E on piano Alise’s favorite musician: Violinists Annie Wolaver and Gretchen Wolaver (from the local Annie Moses Band) and Violinist Taylor Davis have been a huge inspiration for me in pursuing the violin this past year.Atticus’s other interests: Soccer and drawingAngus’s other interests: Puzzles, soccer, drawing, and video games Alise’s other interests: Keeping busy with my kiddos, fitness, and cooking.I have been playing the violin for 13 months now and my boys have been playing piano these past 7 months .
