Guitar & Bass Instructor

Michael Stergis is an accomplished and highly credited Gold and Platinum recordingartist/guitarist/singer/songwriter and producer. As an educator he draws from over fourdecades of professional experience to bring up the next exciting crop of guitar and bassmasters. Michael has performed, recorded and worked alongside many legends includingCrosby, Stills & Nash, Stephen Stills, Trisha Yearwood, Joe Walsh, Jackson Browne, and RingoStarr. As a freshman in high school—he mentored Hall of Fame songwriter David Lee Murphyas a beginner. As a side note, Michael is also an accomplished trumpet player working andstudying with jazz icons such as Dizzy Gillespi, Doc Severinson, Marvin Stamm, Clark Terry,Claude Gordon, and Maynard Ferguson. As a string instructor, one of Michael’s teachingspecialties is, of course, “How to play the instrument”, but bigger than that is his provenmethod of “How to Practice” that builds solid fundamentals, confidence, discipline, self-worth,pride and let’s not forget having fun with a lifelong love of music.
