What has been the thing you've learned in lessons that you have enjoyed the most? Improving myrange and flexibility

Who is your favorite trumpet player? Louis Armstrong

What other interests do you have? Studying math and architecture

How long have you been playing trumpet? Over 3 years.

Teacher Spotlight: Dan Lupo

Where were you born? Plainview, NY (Long Island)

Where did you go to college? Nassau Community College, on Long Island. I studied upright bass, wastreasurer of the music club, and had a 4.0 gpa!

What do you like to do in your spare time? I love spending time with my wife and daughter. I alsoenjoy writing and recording music with my band, and working on my music education website.

Favorite thing about teaching? To me, one of the most rewarding things about teaching is being ableto help someone understand something that they thought was complex, and then watching themgain confidence as they slowly grow into a true musician.

Favorite musician or composer? Well my favorite overall composer is Beethoven, specifically hissymphonies, however Chopin writes the best piano music. More modern, I really like Vulfpeck a lot,but their older music more than their newer stuff.
